Product Care

Tangent Sustainable Lumber

Our products are made using recycled plastic lumber using post- industrial and post consumer HDPE plastic like milk jugs and laundry detergent bottles and never has to be painted or stained and will not rot or splinter like wood. It is very color stable due to UV pigment systems that keep fading to a minimum or if any at all. Please note, even though there is UV ray protection, some colors such as lemon yellow, bright red and cherry and more prone to fading quicker over an extended period of years and exposure to the sun.

Hardware & Fasteners

Our furniture is built with 316 stainless steel hardware. High quality stainless steel does not rust.

We highly recommend if you live at the coast to frequently spray off your poly furniture due to the extreme conditions of salt water. Salt water eventually does not discriminate so it does need to be cleaned off more frequently with fresh, clean water and soap.

With proper care and occasional cleaning, your furniture will have a lasting beauty and you can enjoy it for years and years!

General Cleaning

Poly is very low maintenance and doesn’t have to be cleaned. But if you choose to clean it, you can use almost anything to clean it with. Dawn, Awesome, Mean Green, or vinegar. Spray it on and let it soak. If you do choose to use a bristled brush or sponge, use something soft. Then spray it off with a water hose.

If you choose to use a pressure washer, don’t get really close to the poly. Keep your distance as it can cut like wood.

Don't place hot items directly on your furniture. Don't place sharp objects on your furniture.

Weight limits on swings are 700lbs.

Weight limits on gliders range from 250-275lbs.
